Chris Richards

Chris qualified from Liverpool University in 1975 as a dental surgeon.  Worked for 40 years before "retiring" in 2014.  Diagnosed as autistic with ADHD in 2017 which explained the issues he faced working in big organisations.

Chris was trained by the University of Oxford Medical Postgraduate Department as a mentor to help struggling doctors and dentists.  He realises now that many of those he was mentoring were showing neurodivergent traits, interesting as  now in the field of autism and neurodivergent support he is helping others find a way forward.

Particularly interested in autistic entrepreneurship - think Bill Gates, Elon Musk and Steve Jobs.  Helping others live life on their own terms.

As part of the thought processes, Chris is investigating the idea of the "Digital Garden" as part of public learning and advancement.

Chris has been with BEC and the CEO since 2017 and is chiefly responsible for everything that goes wrong, as well as the governance, ISO9001:2015 certification and the requirements of the Charity Commission in ensuring everything is compliant with regulations.
