Naren Naik

Chairman, Founder, Trustee

Naren Naik of Bankfield Protect, our founder is the inspiration for this project.

Naren is a parent of an autistic child who at the age of 32 is still unable to find a job which is his ultimate dream.

Naren shares his son’s dream and is frustrated that he has been unable to help.

His experiences, those of other parents and people living with a learning disability have driven him to build a solution “The British Enhancement Centre”

Rashmikant Joshi

Vice-Chairman, Trustee

Former Lord Mayor of Leicester, Rashmi brings a wealth of experience working with those less fortunate. He is also a councillor for the Hamiton ward and is our eyes & ears at city council level.

Currently chair of adult social care scrutiny committee for City of Leicester also on Neighbourhood Services Committee, Audit & Risk assessment committee and the Older Peoples’ Forum

Shabana Momin

Trustee

Shabana Momin is an experienced community leader, advice and guidance practitioner, and social enterprise director with over 15 years of experience across the charity, voluntary, and public sectors. Qualified to Level 4 in Advice Work and Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG), Shabana brings expertise in strategic planning, project management, regulatory compliance, and community outreach.

As the mother of a neurodivergent son and with several neurodivergent family members, Shabana brings deep lived experience to her role as Trustee. Having navigated the complex support systems firsthand and fought hard to secure the advocacy and resources her son needed, she is deeply passionate about breaking down barriers for neurodivergent individuals and their families, ensuring everyone gets the tailored support and understanding they deserve.

As the Founder and Director of Leicestershire Advice and Support Services CIC, Shabana oversees governance, financial sustainability, and service delivery aimed at empowering local communities and tackling socio-economic barriers. Her background spans leadership roles across charity organizations, including The Race Equality Centre, Shama Women’s Centre, and Leicester City of Sanctuary, focusing on mental health support, advocacy, refugee integration, and skills development.

Chris Richards

CEO

Chris Richards was formerly project manager for a housing charity. Prior to that he worked in the UK, Germany & Australia as a dental surgeon owning three practices before retiring. He found that retirement didn’t agree with him and so entered the charity sector and is involved with the day to day running of BEC
